Files and pages screen in Octibiz

Overview

Files holds what your provider has released to you — and what you contributed yourself. The storage is organised by area; which areas you see follows from your projects and cases.

If Pages is enabled as well, you find editorial content from your provider there — for example guides or overviews that are not a file.

Core tasks

Download a file. A click on the row downloads it. Access is bound to your login; a forwarded link does not work for other people.

Upload a file. Uploading is possible where a target is provided for it — as a rule a project. If no target is offered, uploading is not intended for your areas.

Find something again. Filter by area; the list shows name, size and date.

Fields in detail

This page has no input mask unless the provider has enabled uploading.

ElementFromWhat it means
Folders and filesstores released by the providerYou see only what has been explicitly released to you — not the provider's store with a filter over it.
Size and datefileWhen last changed and how large.
DownloadfileFetches the file. Every retrieval is logged; that is intended and serves both sides as evidence.
Uploadonly where enabledPlaces a file in the released folder. If the button is absent, the provider has not provided for uploads.
Pagescontent published by the providerTexts and guides made available to you.

Settings & permissions

You may download what has been released to you. Uploading is limited to project targets — by design: a file without a reference would be hard for both sides to find again.

FAQ & troubleshooting

The upload is rejected. Check the chosen target: without a project reference the system does not accept the file.

A file is missing. Either the release was withdrawn, or it belongs to a case you cannot see. Your account manager can clarify.
