Printing

Purpose
The module brings labels from the system onto paper — at the workplace where they are needed.
The load-bearing condition appears in the application itself: without a registered printer there is no direct printing. The agent at the workplace is the link between system and device. If it is not running, print jobs arise that nobody prints — and that is the fault most commonly reported in the warehouse.
Scope
- Workplaces as the places where printing and weighing happen, showing whether an agent is
running.
- Printers per workplace, with the formats they accept.
- Label templates per thing — item, shelf, batch.
- Print jobs with a queue and the failure reason.
Interplay
Shelf labels follow the bins of multi-warehouse; batch labels the details from batches & serial numbers. Item labels come from the product catalogue.
Limits
- No direct printing without an agent. The browser does not print by itself.
- A format the printer does not accept fails — the job list names it.
- No document PDFs. Invoices and quotes arise through the core's document templates.
- The first look belongs to the job list, not to the device.
